AMKT Benchmark Creation Process

The AMKT DAO adopts a hierarchal process for the qualification and selection of assets, which is used in the implementation of the Benchmark.

DAO Asset Inclusion Process

High level overview of the AMKT DAO and its role in benchmark governance.

The AMKT asset inclusion process is composed of 3 stages, where each step is dependent on the previous;

1. Step 1: AMKT Asset Universe - AMKT Token holders and Stewards work together to narrow the set of all crypto assets to those with thematic fit.

2. Step 2: AMKT Benchmark Creation - AMKT Stewards decide on methods for additionally filtering assets and describing how to calculate the AMKT Index.

3. Benchmark Implementation - The final step in determining which assets are earmarked for custody and inclusion in the index happens at the implementation stage. Service Providers use the AMKT Benchmark Methodology guidelines and the assets from the Index Implementation stage to construct the final methodology.

AMKT holders can propose and vote on the inclusion of new assets which they believe fall under AMKT's thematic fit as a broad-based crypto market index, however a successful DAO vote for inclusion in the AMKT Asset Universe does not guarantee inclusion in the index.
